Seed Saving Around the World

Kate Flint’s garden is just under half a hectare and features curvy paths, a pond, a creek, areas of lawn, productive trees and lots of veggie beds and it’s filled with plants that provide a steady supply of seeds – because seed saving is Kate’s passion.

“Humans have been sowing seeds for 10,000 years,” she says. “When I think of a seed – when I have a seed in my hand ready to sow – I think of the 10,000 people before me that have sown that seed to get it to me and that’s why I think they’re so special.”
